PathEngine is offered in three packages, with different levels of source code access, as follows:

Notes
- All packages are fixed fee, with no royalty component, and with unlimited licence term (i.e. the rights to distribute with your product do not expire).
- All packages include access to all SDK upgrades (both major and minor releases) posted during the support term.
- Packages cannot be mixed. (It's not possible, for example, to purchase a full source licence for a first product and then a binary licence for a second.)

- Prices are for the games sector and include labelling requirements.
- Prices quoted are valid for licensing until end of third quarter 2008.
- Ask about possibilites for reductions when licensing for multiple products.
Binary only licensing
The binary package includes all SDK functionalty except for 3D content processing, and all optimisations (our benchmarks are run against this package), but this package does include some default instrumentation that can be turned off with the source packages for better performance.
Binary packages are currently available for PC and Xbox 360 platform targets only.

Interface layer package
This package includes source code for the PathEngine tools and 'interface layer', to be built and linked against supplied static libraries for other core components.
This enables interface layer functionality such as thread synchronisation, context management, path post processing, XML and tokenised XML processing and generation to be modified, and it is also possible to customise PathEngine's internal memory management with this package, but note that linking against supplied libs imposes some significant linkage constraints, and this package is only currently available on the PC platform.

Full source licensing
The full source packages include all source code required to build the PathEngine DLL, TestBed, and content tools.
This makes it possible to customise all aspects of the SDK, make special builds, turn on and off API checking and memory instrumentation, statically link with the SDK without linkage constraints, and so on.
Platform targets
Platform targets are defined in terms of target OS type and processor architecture, with build configuration and optimised platform specific components currently available for the following platforms, in addition to the PC (Windows, x86) target:
- Xbox 360
- Cell BE platforms, PS3
- Windows, x64
- Linux/FreeBSD, x32
- Linux/FreeBSD, x64

Support
Support is by email and includes responses to queries about: how the SDK works, how to integrate the SDK effectively and how the SDK is intended to be applied within the context of the licensed product. Standard support does not cover modifications to the source code.
The support term can be renewed, in each case, for 20% of base licence cost.
Additional support can be provided, on a time-worked basis, to include application specific consulting and customisation of the SDK and tools. (Please ask for more details.)
VAT
Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT.
- For entities inside France: VAT at 19.6 percent will be added to the invoiced amount.
- For entities inside the European Union (but outside France): if you are registered for VAT, and can provide us with a valid EU VAT number then we will invoice you without VAT, otherwise VAT (at 19.6 percent) will be added to the invoiced amount.
- For entities outside the European Union: VAT will not be invoiced.
